Sam Adie is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at the University of New South Wales. He specialises in surgery of the hip and knee, including primary and revision hip and knee replacement, and arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery of the knee.

He works at several hospitals across Sydney, including St George Hospital, a Level 1 facility and one of the busiest referral centres in Australia. Sam also has subspecialist training in foot and ankle surgery.

He has won numerous awards for his research with competitive funding of ~$6.5m and leads a series of clinical trials to improve outcomes after joint replacement.
